Spring arrived here at the museum last week and with it, a lot of work to be done. With the creation of the community garden it has been a continual work in progress, with sodding (too much sod!), creating beds, planting, watering and just figuring out how to get it all done before winter hits us again. Thanks to all this hard work from staff and volunteers the museum grounds are looking good and the community garden promises to be a success (fingers crossed!) We've been told that the new green area is a huge improvement in the neighbourhood and local gardeners and childrens' groups appreciate the opportunity to participate in the project. There are people continually popping in to check on their gardens and I recommend popping in to check it out too even if you don't have a plot. It's an awesome space and a nice addition to the community. Check it out if you get a chance and have a good one!
