Museum gets a donation from Ontario actress

Niamh with her artwork
Niamh Wilson is a pretty young lady that has a lot of talent.  She plays violin, draws, paints, dances, acts, and has a thirst for life.  She lives outside of Toronto, is going into her grade 10 year of high school, and is currently playing in "The Young and Prodigious Spivet" being filmed in the Pincher Creek area.

She visited Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village in Pincher Creek August 17, 2012, and some of the recreated false front buildings captured her imagination.  She took less than an hour to create a memorable pencil sketch of them.  "This is the beginning of a drawing," said Wilson referring to the pencil sketch in a fresh sketchbook.

Niamh has generously offered to donate the drawing to the Pincher Creek and District Historical Society.  President Colleen Cyr is delighted to accept the donation.  “It’s a gorgeous drawing.  We plan to have it matted and framed, then auction it off.”   Cyr explained that the intent of the society is to use it as part of the fundraising to continue work on the east side of the building that Niamh depicted in her drawing.
