The Pincher Creek and District Historical Society is pleased to announce that there are a limited number of copies of the 2013 edition of our local history book entitled Prairie Grass to Mountain Pass still available for sale.  This volume chronicles more than 125 community histories and 700 genealogies dating from 1878 to 1910 from both Pincher Creek and the surrounding 41 rural localities.  Extensively updated from the old 1974 edition, this work explores the early days of the frontier from this unique southwestern corner of the Canadian Prairies.  Many of the stories are accompanied by previously unpublished archival photos.

It is unlikely that this volume will be published again so this your opportunity to truly step back into local history.  The 988 page book sells for 125 dollars plus $25 shipping and handling for mailing in Canada and $35 for mailing to the United States.  Copies also can be purchased directly at the Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village or by contacting the Curator, Farley Wuth, at fswuth.kbpv@gmail.com or at (403) 627-3684.  We thank you for your interest in our vibrant history!
