Let your historical imagination be sparked by the Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village! Set in our attractive grounds, the Village offers you the chance to discover the glory days of the past. An array of thirty-one historical buildings awaits your stopover. The structural patriarch of our display is the 1878 NWMP Horse Barn that led to the origins of Pincher Creek as a settlement. Exhibited in fine fashion is John George “Kootenai” Brown’s iconic log cabin from nearby Waterton Lake, and a large sweep of old-time business. Each structure is displayed with a selection of authentic artifacts which visually recreate forgotten stories from bygone days. The history of the Pincher Creek area is carefully maintained through exhibits, artifacts, and an extensive archive. Our Country Store retails quality souvenirs, crafts, and books.
