Seasonal Cook (1 position available) – Garden Café

Kootenai Brown Historical Park is seeking one experienced and dependable cook to join our team for the 2026 tourism season in our Garden Café. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with the public and being part of a vibrant summer tourism environment.

Position Details

• One position available

• Seasonal employment: May through September

• Full-time hours

• 10-hour shifts

• 3–4 days per week​

​

The Garden Café offers a casual café-style menu, and the successful candidates must be comfortable operating a BBQ and preparing simple, high-quality meals for visitors.

​

We are looking for an individual who:

• Is mature, reliable, and responsible

• Enjoy working in a tourism and visitor-focused environment

• Is able to work collaboratively with a team

• Is comfortable mentoring and working alongside summer students, who assist in the café as servers and dishwashers

• Is able to maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment

Requirements

• Experience working in a kitchen or food service environment

• Ability to operate a BBQ and prepare café-style meals

• Must provide own transportation

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

​

Wages: Competitive wages dependent upon experience.
