Elias T. Saunders has a lasting legacy in Alberta media, as the founder of 19th-century newspapers in Fort Macleod, Lethbridge, and in Pincher Creek, all of which are still in operation.
Still in print, the Echo has served Pincher Creek and area for more than 120 years.
